Teachers will have to adhere to a code of conduct, which the Education Ministry developed recently.

The code incorporates relevant values and regulations from the Government instruction manuals and the Ministry's internal conduct guidelines.

It sets out clearly, the professional conduct and practice expected of educators in schools here and will apply to all recruited into the teaching service, such as school leaders, teachers including, untrained, trainee and relief teachers, adjunct teachers and allied educators.

Educators were informed of the new move in a letter sent out today by Director-General of Education Ho Peng.
