Civil service disciplinary process for Ng Boon Gay to resume: Home Affairs Ministry

The civil service disciplinary process for former anti-narcotics chief Ng Boon Gay will now resume, said the Ministry of Home Affairs in a statement on Tuesday.

The Ministry said that as criminal proceedings have concluded, the civil service disciplinary process which had been put on hold temporarily would now resume.

On Tuesday, the day of the appeal deadline, the prosecution said that it was not appealing against the acquittal of Mr Ng.

MHA added that under the civil service disciplinary framework, the officer under the disciplinary charge, in this case Mr Ng, will be given an opportunity to be heard. "A decision will be made on the case based on all the relevant facts," it said.
