Citibank credit card holders can pay bills by SMS

Citibank credit card holders can now pay bills via SMS thanks to a service launched on Wednesday. It involves sending customers a message when their credit card bill is ready. Customers can then pay by replying to the SMS.
They can pay the full amount or just the minimum sum.
Ms Shirley Ramli, head of e-business at Citibank Singapore, said the service will mean people can avoid having to write cheques or queue up to pay bills.
"They will also receive a mini-statement and payment reminder via SMS so they no longer have to worry about missing their credit card bill," she added.
