Dream big, but remember it takes hard work to make your dreams come true. Sharing their own experience of that message on Saturday were prominent alumnae of the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ), with about 700 students from 11 CHIJ schools.

Ambassador-at-large Chan Heng Chee, the keynote speaker at the forum themed "Women as agents of change", said success is "90 per cent perspiration and 10 per cent inspiration".

Professor Chan, a Katong Convent old girl, stepped down as ambassador to the United States earlier this year after a 16-year term.

The other three speakers were DBS managing director and group head of wealth management Tan Su Shan, UN Women National Committee Singapore president Trina Liang, and Member of Parliament Fatimah Lateef.
