Changi Airport Group donates $360,000 to School Pocket Money Fund

They ran, jumped, drew and mimed their way across Changi's terminals, while airplanes took off on the tarmac outside.

On Monday morning, in groups of four, 20 beneficiaries of the Straits Times Pocket Money Fund (SPMF) participated in a race that saw them hit stations at iconic landmarks around the airport, including the Butterfly Garden at Terminal 3's transit lounge and the Kinetic Rain art display in Terminal 1's public area.

After the race ended, the children witnessed Changi Airport Group's (CAG) $360,000 donation to SPMF. The donation, to be disbursed over five years, will provide 50 post-secondary students with pocket money for as many years. The donation will be part of the fund's pilot extension in 2013 beyond primary and secondary school to beneficiaries studying in the Institute of Technical Education, junior colleges and polytechnics.
