Case, SMWA aim to improve motor workshop image
The motor workshop industry is working on an accreditation scheme to improve its image with customers.
In a first for the industry, the Singapore Motor Workshop Association (SMWA), together with the Consumers Association of Singapore (Case), will launch the CaseTrust standard for motor workshops in the next six months.
Details on how to be accredited are still being worked out for the scheme, which industry watchers say will likely lead to more transparent, itemised repair bills and proper procedures to handle customer complaints.
The CaseTrust standard is also used for spas and maid agencies, among other industries.
