A carnival that aims to educate consumers on their rights and responsibilities through fun and games will be held on Saturday.

Organised by the Consumer Association of Singapore (Case), the event marks World Consumer Rights Day which falls on the same day. The carnival will be held at Safra Toa Payoh from 10am to 4pm, and is open to the public.

Through quizzes, skits and contests, consumers can learn more about the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act and the lemon law, and what they should do when they encounter unfair practices in the market. Visitors can also look out for exhibition and game booths, as well as free goodie bags.

Ms Sim Ann, Minister of State for the Ministry of Communications and Information and Ministry of Education, will be the guest of honour.
