Career Women's Group to offer help for female ex-offenders

Former female offenders will get help in securing jobs in the services sector through a new initiative by the the Career Women's Group (CWG), an interest group under the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI).

They will be given skills training, employment opportunities and other support services to quicken their reintegration into the society through the project, which is in partnership with Singapore Corporation of Rehabilitative Enterprises (SCORE).

SCORE provides rehabilitation and aftercare services to inmates and ex-offenders

Eight trainees, who will finish their training between October 2012 and February 2013, have been chosen and have undergone several skills training, including two service-related training courses under the programme, named "Seed".
