Capsized barge: MPA terminates search and rescue operations
SEARCH and rescue operations for the seven missing crewmembers of Guo Liang 677 have been terminated, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) said in a statement on Tuesday night.
The MPA said it will continue to inform vessels passing through the vicinity of the incident site to keep a lookout for the unaccounted crewmembers. It added that it was still investigating the incident.
The barge capsized last Wednesday in Singapore waters about 13km north of Pedra Branca.
The seven were part of a crew of 10 men, all Chinese nationals, who were on board at the time.
