Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, the Minister of Information, Communications and the Arts (Mica) said on Saturday that the Cabinet reshuffle will allow the government to better focus on its most important work.

For his ministry, that work includes engaging an increasingly diverse public on policies.

Said Dr Yaacob on Saturday at a National Heritage Board event: "... There is a greater need now for people to understand government policies better.

"So we need to be able to communicate not only just in terms of the policies, but to look at different platforms and how we communicate with different segments, because increasingly there are different groups with different interests."
