The body of a man, believed to be the Vietnamese who was reported missing after he had gone swimming off East Coast Park on Monday, was found on Tuesday morning.

A friend told The Straits Times that the body was spotted floating near a breakwater earlier in the day by a cousin of the 24-year-old Vietnamese. They then alerted the police, who arrived and recovered the body from the sea.

This comes after the discovery of a young boy's body floating off Bedok Jetty late Monday night, the third mishap in two days off Singapore's eastern coast.
