Police have arrested a 53-year-old male suspect on Tuesday in connection with the murder of man whose body was found at an area off Lim Chu Kang Road, near Sungei Gedong Camp.

The body of Dexmon Chua Yizhi, 37, was found on Wednesday, in a patch of bushes. He had been wearing a pair of dark-coloured shorts and his shirt appeared to have been rolled up to the neck. The Straits Times understands that his hands were bound and his body did not appear to have any major wounds

Police officers, who were led to the scene by the suspect, were seen combing the grassy area, which is off a dirt track, at about 7pm.

On Monday, the Singapore Police Force issued an appeal for information on Mr Chua's whereabouts. The appeal added that Mr Chua had not been home since last Saturday night and was last seen at an eatery along Cheong Chin Nam Road in Upper Bukit Timah. In a statement on Wednesday night, a police spokesman said that officers from the Jurong Police Division worked closely with officers from the Criminal Investigation Department to conduct investigative probes and enquiries as there were "suspicious circumstances" relating to the case.
