More than 500 bikers took part in a charity motorbike ride to raise funds for needy students today.

The bike ride was one of the fund-raising events organised by the Singapore Indian Development Association (Sinda) Project Give, to raise money to finance bursaries for students.

A carwash was also held. Sinda hopes to raise $1 million this year, from all its fund-raising activities.

Ms Indranee Rajah, Senior Minister of State (Education and Law), who was the guest of honour at the event, said that the community plays an important role in helping needy students .
