Bangkok Shutdown: Flights still operating between Bangkok and Singapore
Airlines are still operating flights between Singapore and Bangkok in Thailand, despite protesters there blocking off key intersections.
Singapore Airlines, which earlier this month said they will cancel about one in 10 flights between Jan 14 and Feb 25, said no further changes have been made to their operations. "We continue to monitor the situation closely, and if necessary will make additional flight adjustments," said an airline spokesman, adding that "demand has been affected for flights to and from Bangkok in recent weeks".
AirAsia and Jetstar said that they are also keeping tabs on the unrest but are operating flights as usual.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has advised Singaporeans travelling to Bangkok to stay away from large crowds and demonstrations as there have been violent incidents with some fatalities.
