Attachment programme at AGC for prosecutors from ministries, stat boards
Prosecutors from Ministries and Statutory Boards will be get a chance to learn from their counterparts at the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) under a new attachment programme later this year.
Under this new programme, departmental prosecutors will have the opportunity to attend court hearings and also learn about the the work processes at the AGC.
Departmental prosecutors, unlike the Deputy Public Prosecutors from the AGC, sometimes do not have formal legal training, and prosecute only those charged with offences in the purview of their agencies.
The attachment programme will start in the third quarter of the year.
