American school plans big with new Upper Serangoon campus

Students at Stamford American International School's new Upper Serangoon campus already enjoy putting greens for golf and a canteen serving food created by a celebrity chef.

But at its official opening on Friday, the school had plans to go even further.

It plans to have a world class "innovation centre" with features including a fully fitted and functional trading floor for students to learn about economics via market transactions.

The centre will also partner universities in the United States and venture capital firms to help students develop the next big idea.
