8th man in online vice ring case gets 9 weeks jail

A businessman was jailed for nine weeks on Friday for having paid sex with a minor in the high profile online vice ring case.
Wilson Oei, 26, an Indonesian, had pleaded guilty in June to paying $450 for the sexual services of the 17-year-old girl at Hotel 81 Bencoolen on Sept 26, 2010.
He is one of 51 men brought to court for having paid sex with the girl, who was described as an 18-year-old on a website run by pimp Tang Boon Thiew, 38, that year.
He is the eighth man to be dealt with so far. The sentences meted out ranged from nine to 13 weeks.
