The South East Community Development Council (CDC) and NTUC Income's OrangeAid celebrated the graduation of 66 children from a Learning Family Programme (LFP) Saturday afternoon.

The NTUC Income's OrangeAid sponsored the programme - developed in 2007 to help academically-weak kindergarten children from lower-income families - for the first time.

Madam Hamidah Bte Jaafar, 39, whose six-year-old daughter took part in the programme, said: "It's a relief to witness my daughter no longer relying on baby-talk to express herself. She has come out of her shell thanks to the programme."
