65% of audit staff unhappy at work, poll shows
Only 38 per cent of audit staff were satisfied with their jobs with many complaining about heavy workloads, according to a survey.
It also found that 65 per cent want to quit their firms within three years.
The study, commissioned by the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority and conducted by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, polled 1,158 audit staff in nine accounting firms in May.
Its findings were released at the Public Accountants Conference on Thursday.
