40 motorists booked in four-hour routine police operation

More motorists are being booked for inconsiderate driving. The Traffic Police issued 3,956 summonses for this offence in the first nine months of this year, as compared to 3,714 summonses issued in the same period last year. -- ST PHOTO: KUA CHEE SIONG

Police booked 40 motorists for offences such as speeding, failure to signal and road hogging during a four-hour enforcement operation on Thursday.

This was part of their routine enforcement efforts along expressways and in the heartlands.

A motorcyclist who was swerving in and out of road lanes and onto the road shoulder without signalling was caught for inconsiderate driving during the operation, which began at 10.30am.

More motorists are being booked for inconsiderate driving. The Traffic Police issued 3,956 summonses for this offence in the first nine months of this year, as compared to 3,714 summonses issued in the same period last year.
