Police arrested 38 female foreigners working in nightspots on Friday night.

The women were arrested for unlawful employment and immigration offences.

They are aged between 17 and 34, and are from China, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.

Some 70 officers from the Central Police Division and National Environment Agency were involved in the six-hour joint operation that started at 10pm on Friday night.
