Two more youths were on Wednesday charged for rioting outside Zouk nightspot.

Muhammad Zafir Abdul Alim, 17, and Khairul Nizam Ismail, 18, are accused of being part of an unlawful assembly. Together with Adam Abdul Rashid and Muhammad Ikram Kamsani, both 18, and Wira Andika Ibrahim, 19, they allegedly punched and kicked 22-year-old Desmond Ang Ming Sheng along Kim Seng Road at about 5am last Sunday. The latter three accused were charged in court on Tuesday.

The five men were also part of a bigger group of seven men arrested over another fight outside Zouk at 4am that day, with the remaining two men still under investigation. The victim in the earlier fight is believed to be a youth aged 18.

The maximum penalty for rioting is a jail term of seven years and caning.
