A PAP Community Foundation (PCF) kindergarten in Teck Ghee will be among 19 pre-schools here that will receive an innovation award from the Ministry of Education and the Association of Early Childhood Educators (Singapore) next week.

The kindergarten at Blk 466 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 was lauded for its creative use of stop motion movies to help fuel the children's interest in storytelling.

The Education Ministry wants all kindergartens to create innovative learning methods and tap on its innovation grant.

This year, a total of 145 kindergartens did so.
