18 nurseries get the green thumbs up from NParks
Eighteen nurseries here have become voluntarily accredited under a programme run by the National Parks Board (NParks).
The programme still has a long way to go, for NParks is rooting for 70 of the 100 nurseries here to volunteer for accreditation, which is not mandatory.
To be accredited, nurseries must first be audited for their physical layout, inventory control and customer service.
The accreditation is a "quality stamp" and accredited nurseries can expect better business, said Landscape Industry Association Singapore chairman John Tan.
