16-year-old twins dream of K-pop stardom
Dashing good looks? Check. Synchronised dance moves? Check. Harmonious vocals? Check. Sixteen-year-old identical twins Brandon and Julien Leo seem to have what it takes to give Kwangmin and Youngmin from Korean boy band Boyfriend (who are also twins) a run for their money.
The United World College students from Singapore made a splash in April when their cover of K-pop band Big Bang's Bad Boy landed them a top 10 spot at Big Bang's global cover contest online. Their homemade music video has since garnered more than 28, 000 views on YouTube.
Keen to pursue a pop music career, the stylish 1.8m tall boys also took part in a 2PM dance cover contest, which they won. They participated in the JYP Alpha audition this year, but did not make it to the final round.
"The fact that we write and compose our own music is our advantage to being noticed, I think," said older brother Brandon. "Plus, there's the twins effect."
