A former accounts manager who had paid sex with a teen prostitute was jailed for 11 weeks on Tuesday.

Choong Sin Jian, 28, is the 15th man in the online sex ring case to be convicted. The remaining 36 men have yet to be dealt with.

A district court heard that Choong, who pleaded guilty to one of two charges, came across the website of the pimp offering the services of escorts in 2010. After seeing the minor's details, he decided to have sex with her.

On Jan 6 last year, the Singapore permanent resident sent a text message to the pimp to ask if she was available that evening. The pimp quoted him $650 an hour for her services at Strand Hotel in Bencoolen Street. Choong checked into a room at the hotel and informed the pimp.
