12-year-old among group of 4 detained over alleged mischief by fire

The police have arrested four teenagers, aged between 12 and 15, for allegedly causing mischief by fire.

At about 4.15pm yesterday, officers responded to a call about a group of youths seen playing with fire and burning paper at Block 411 Serangoon Central. But the youths had already fled the scene by the time police arrived. They were later found and detained.

Investigations are on-going. Anyone who is convicted of mischief by fire faces a maximum of seven years in jail, and a fine.
