BANGKOK (AFP) - A lawyer for Thailand's opposition party on Tuesday urged a key court to annul last weekend's snap election and disband the embattled ruling party of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.

"I submitted the petition... the court will inform us later if they take the case or not," Democrat Party lawyer, Virat Kalayasiri, told reporters.
