Singaporean woman dies in car crash in Malaysia; husband and two others injured
KUANTAN - A Singaporean woman has died in a horrific car crash in Malaysia that resulted in a second vehicle skidding and plunging into a swamp.
Norlia Mohamad, 49, died at Kuala Rompin Hospital at 10 pm last night, three hours after the crash, according to the Bernama news agency.
She was travelling with her husband, Latin Kanchil, when their car collided with another vehicle, which skidded and fell into a swamp.
Mr Kanchil, also a Singapaorean, is in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries. His condition is thought to be stable.
