Police begin probe as another religious insult surfaces in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR - Another religious insult has surfaced in Malaysia, this time involving a Hari Raya card posted on the Facebook page of a political aide.
The card showed a roast pig's head sandwiched by "lemang" and "ketupat", with a caption inviting Muslims to enjoy the dish, Malaysia's Bernama news agency reported on Friday.
The consumption of pork is forbidden under Islam. Lemang and ketupat are rice-based traditional dishes.
The posting was found on the facebook account of Mr Alan Tang, an assistant to Mr Andrew Chen Kah Eng of the Democratic Action Party who represents Stulang, Johor.
