TANGERANG – Potbellied police in Indonesia’s capital have been ordered to exercise, exchanging their uniforms twice a week
for sweats and sneakers as they line up for aerobics and push-ups in an attempt to shed a few pounds.
Jakarta police spokesman Colonel Rikwanto says anyone over 100kg must follow the weight-loss programme which was initiated due to the growing number of overweight officers and the perception that they are unable to provide protection to the public.
