MANILA (REUTERS) - The Philippines' biggest coal miner, Semirara Mining Corp, has suspended operations at a mine in the central part of the country after three workers were killed and seven left missing when part of the mine collapsed.
Thirteen workers were initially trapped when the west wall of Semirara's Panian pit gave way late on Wednesday. Three were later rescued, said George San Pedro, resident manager at the coal mine.

Shares of Semirara fell as much as 15 percent to a two-month low following reports of the collapse.
