Nurul Izzah likely to withdraw divorce petition

PETALING JAYA (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK): The drama over Ms Nurul Izzah Anwar's divorce took a new twist with news that she may be withdrawing her divorce petition on Friday.

Ms Nurul Izzah and her husband Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar Raja Salim are believed to have been persuaded to reconcile.

She is expected to file her withdrawal petition at the lower Syariah Court in Jalan Duta, according to sources close to the family.

It is understood that family members had persuaded the couple to work things out after news broke online that Nurul had filed for divorce in late December.
