MINISTER for Foreign Affairs K Shanmugam attended the Asean Foreign Ministers' Retreat on Friday at the ancient city of Bagan, Myanmar, the first ministerial meeting hosted by the country which assumed its first chairmanship of Asean this year.
At the retreat, the foreign ministers affirmed the need to energise efforts towards community-building and integration in the region, in order to establish an Asean Community by 2015, said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday.
