More than 2.2 million in Putrajaya, Selangor & Kuala Lumpur face water cuts in March

CYBERJAYA (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Six districts, involving more than 431,000 households and 2.2 million residents, in Putrajaya, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur will be faced with water cuts between Mar 2 and Mar 31.
The National Water Services Commission (SPAN) announced that these areas will receive two days of water supply, followed by two days of dry taps throughout the period.
The announcement on the second phase of the water rationing exercise was made by SPAN chairman Datuk Ismail Kassim during a news conference here on Friday.
The rationing follows the reduction in the amount of water released from the Selangor and Klang Gate dams due to the low level of water reserve.
