Man survives attack by motorcycle assailants in Ipoh shooting
IPOH (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - A 29-year-old man was shot four times in his Hyundai Atos by two assailants on a motorcycle near Taman Klebang Putra late on Wednesday night, adding to a series of shootings in Malaysia.
Police Assistant Commissioner Sum Chang Keong said the man was driving in the car in the housing area when the assailants rode up near the vehicle and fired at least six shots at about 11.15pm.
"The man was driving with two people inside the car, believed to be his family members.
"The two are unharmed during the incident," he told journalists after attending a Hari Raya open house at the Pekan Baru police station on Thursday morning.
