GEORGE TOWN (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Feeling sorry for the man pinned under a car wreckage, Mr Low Boon Chai decided to stop his motorcycle to help.

To his horror, the dead victim was his 21-year-old son Desmond.

Desmond, a vegetable seller, was on his way to the market in Penang when the car he was driving was believed to have collided with a bus.

He was killed on the spot in the hit-and-run accident at about 6am on Sunday.
