KAJANG (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Parti Keadilian Rakyat (PKR) candidate Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said she was not aware of any plot to make her the next Selangor Mentri Besar, replacing Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.

At a press conference on the eve of Kajang by-election at the party's operations centre here, Dr Wan Azizah, the wife of opposition chief Anwar Ibrahim, shook her head when asked if she was privy to the plan.

"As of now, Khalid is still the Menteri Besar," she said.

The prospect came amid earlier speculation that her husband was to have replaced Mr Khalid should he become Kajang's new assemblyman.
