JAKARTA - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono took around a year to write his memoirs, reported Indonesian news website Kompas.
Dr Yudhoyono's book Selalu Ada Pilihan: Untuk Pencinta Demokrasi dan Para Pemimpin Indonesia Mendatang (There Is Always A Choice: For Democracy Lovers and Indonesia's Next Leaders) was penned on his iPad in his spare moments, Kompas reported hours before the book was to be released.
The 824-page tome in Bahasa Indonesia is published by Penerbit Buku Kompas, a unit of Harian Kompas, which comes under Indonesian media conglomerate Kompas Gramedia. It contains no photos except for Dr Yudhoyono's own snapshot featured on the back.
The book describes Dr Yudhoyono's experience as a presidential candidate in 2004 and is meant as a guide for future leaders.
