Hundreds attend funeral of Megawati's husband this morning

Senior Indonesian politician Taufik Kiemas was laid to rest at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery shortly before noon with full military honours.
Hundreds of mourners, from retired ministers to top businessmen, armed forces generals and ordinary folk, had gathered as early as 8am to pay their last respects to the chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly or MPR and patron of the Indonesian Democratic Party - Struggle (PDI-P) who died in Singapore on Saturday evening. He was 70.
Mr Taufik died at the Singapore General Hospital, where he had been warded for exhaustion, and the MPR brings together all 560 members of Parliament as well as the 132 members of the Regional Representatives Council.
Also attending the funeral was Singapore's Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mr Masagos Zulkifli. Malaysian Senate president Abu Zahar Ujang and federal territories minister Tengku Adnan Mansor were also present.
