Flash floods in several parts of Malaysia
SEVERAL places in Malaysia experienced flash floods on Monday as torrential rain poured over the country.
In Johor, residents from five villages in Mersing and Segamat have been relocated to temporary flood relief centres due to the flood, reported The Star.
The water levels of Muar River, which flows through the states of Johor, Negeri Sembilan and Pahang, soared to 8.86m at one point in time, crossing the danger mark.
The Johor Security Council said it has also advised residents in Johor Baru, Batu Pahat and Kluang to be prepared for flash floods.
