Dog saves woman from fire in Malaysia
JOHOR BARU (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Ms Lika Dugas was initially reluctant to keep a stray puppy given to her by a stranger two months ago.
Had she not adopted the three-month-old mongrel Kopi, she might not have survived a fire, which broke out at her home along Jalan Kota Tinggi in the early hours of Wednesday.
Ms Dugas said she was woken by Kopi's barks at around 1:45am. The dog also kept tugging at her pyjamas to get her attention.
The 67-year-old odd job labourer at first ordered the puppy to stop the antics and went back to sleep. But Kopi went on to pull her hair.
