Blast near anti-government rally site in Bangkok, at least 6 injured

BANGKOK - At least six people were injured in a blast that occurred near a protesters’ rally site in central Bangkok on Friday night.
According to Thai media reports, the blast took place near the Pratunam intersection within the city’s key shopping district, most famous for malls like CentralWorld and Big C Ratchadamri. It is believed to have been caused by a grenade.
Three of the injured were rushed to Ramathibodi Hospital, two others to Chulalongkorn Hospital and one to Phyathai Hospital. Many cars were damaged by the blast, the Bangkok Post reported, quoting Jor Sor 100 FM radio.
Police were investigating and telling motorists to avoid using the route.
