Another spousal violence video goes viral in Malaysia
GEORGETOWN (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Malaysian authorities are looking for a 36-year-old man, who was seen assaulting his wife in the presence of their children in a video posted on the Malaysian Crime Awareness Campaign Facebook page.
Penang Police said the woman suffered injuries to her head, arms and body, after she was slapped repeatedly and kicked on the back with blunt force.
The video, which has been shared more than 2,000 times on Facebook in less than a day, comes after another high-profile episode of spousal violence in Malaysia.
Last Saturday, a man in Seremban attacked her ex-girlfriend of 13 years with a hammer outside his house. The incident, captured on camera by the victim's 13-year-old daughter, caused a stir in the community when the video went online.
