8 Singaporeans suffer injuries in North-South Highway bus crash
KUALA LUMPUR - An elderly couple was among eight Singaporeans who sustained injuries in a pre-dawn bus crash along Malaysia's North-South Highway on Wednesday.
Madam Ong Lai Gue, 70, has been warded at Sultanah Aminah Specialist Hospital in Johor Baru for head injuries. Her husband Yeo Teng Quee, also 70, was warded at the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital in Muar to stabilise his back injury. He was discharged at noon.
Six other passengers were given outpatient treatment in Muar.
The bus, carrying 10 Singaporean passengers in all, reportedly overturned and skidded 15 metres in the 2am accident near Pagoh, Johor.
