Singapore shares open lower on Wednesday

Singapore shares opened lower on Wed, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,005.21 in early trade, down 0.22 per cent, or 6.70 points.

Around 346.7 million shares exchanged hands.

Losers beat gainers 75 to 56.
