Singapore shares open lower on Thursday

Singapore shares opened lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,295.01 in early trade, down 0.18 per cent, or 6.03 points.

Around 970.2 million shares exchanged hands.

Gainers beat losers 138 to 61.
