Singapore shares open higher on Tuesday

Singapore shares opened higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,297.49 in early trade, up 0.28 per cent, or 9.35 points.

Around 361.8 million shares exchanged hands.

Gainers beat losers 124 to 51.
