Singapore shares open higher on Monday

Singapore shares opened higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,290.17, up 0.06 per cent, or 2.04 points.

About 1.37 billion shares exchanged hands.

Gainers beat losers 193 to 81.
