Singapore shares open higher on Monday

Singapore shares opened higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,279.53 in early trade, up 0.31 per cent, or 10.22 points.

Around 354.9 million shares exchanged hands.

Gainers beat losers 176 to 54.
